So who’s behind Basic Lawn Care?

Meet Jarrett Santos, Owner/Operator. Jarrett’s love for heavy equipment and landscaping began early on as he grew up on his family’s California dairy farm. When he wasn’t playing sports, using a tractor was his idea of a good time. Now that he’s all grown up, he’d still rather be outside working in a yard than doing most things.

Jarrett’s lawn care career officially began as a teenager when he started working for his cousin’s landscaping company, which serviced both residential and commercial accounts. While playing junior college and Division I college baseball, he went on to obtain an associate’s degree in Horticulture from Reedley College in CA and a bachelor’s in Facility Management from UNCG. In 2004, Jarrett was drafted by the Florida Marlins and began a seven-year career in professional baseball. During the off-seasons, he worked for several local lawn care and handyman services and also kept up with a small group of private clients.

Jarrett retired from professional baseball in 2010 to coach at the college level, and took on a portion of the field maintenance duties. In 2011 he started Basic Lawn Care to bring to the Triad a company that could offer what he figures most people want: a good-looking yard at a reasonable price, with minimal hassle. Jarrett has the equipment, knowledge, and drive to make your yard and the exterior of your home look their best, all with attention to value and quality. He offers free estimates and advice, and a variety of services to meet your needs. Call or email today to set up a consultation or to ask any questions.
